BEDDING DOWN

This beautiful resting deer was photographed in Kathryn Albertson's park in Boise, Idaho, in the evening hours.

To set up for this photo, I used a telephoto lens (400MM)
and set it to manual focus. The subject was the deer, but the focal point was his eye, a difficult shot to capture.

The background blur makes this an even softer scene.

GOLDEN BLISS

This photo was captured in Kathryn Albertson's park in Boise, Idaho in the evening.

With the night time coming on quickly, I had to adjust my exposure and ISO for a quicker shutter speed.
The golden hues upon the water water, seemed to stand out more and more as the sun went down.

SO CUTE GOSLING

Photographed in the park at Kathryn Albertson's in Boise, Idaho in the afternoon.

A warm spring day these goslings were out frolicking about with their mom. They look so cute and soft.
I used a telephoto lens to capture them from afar.

DETAILED MALLARD

This duck photo was captured at Hyatt Lake Hidden Reserve in Boise, Idaho.

I wanted to capture as much detail as possible in this photo, so I used a telephoto lens. I waited until the duck was completely still almost in a trans-like state.

NESTING MALLARD

This photo was capture in Kathryn Albertson's park in Boise, Idaho during the morning hours.

This female Mallard was nesting in the hollows of a tree, so I thought I would capture this beautiful moment.

The goal was to show off as much detail as possible and to use the tree as a wooden frame.

FIGHT OR FLIGHT

This Canadian goose scene was captured at Kathryn Albertson's park in Boise, Idaho during the noon hour.

My idea behind this photo, was to capture the geese in motion with the water splashing about.
To do this I used a telephoto lens and focused on the nearest goose and locked on my subject.

BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL

During the mid-morning hours, I captured this Canadian goose spreading his wings, just as he came up out of the water.
This beautiful wildlife scene was captured at Kathryn Albertson's park in Boise, Idaho.

Look at the detail of the feathers.

I'M BIGGER THAN YOU

This photo is very similar to the above photo but photographed after the goose had his wings completely spread.

Using a telephoto lens and photographing a squence of frames allowed for me to choose the perfect photo.
The water shows cool blue ripples due to the shade.

MOTHER AND DUCKLINGS

A pair of ducklings swimming with their mom in the pond at Kathryn Albertson's park in Boise, Idaho.

The cool blue water seen here was due to the ducks swimming in the shaded parts of the pond.

I often try to capture a wildlife moment to remember.

BEAUTIFUL WOOD DUCK

This stunning male wood duck was swimming in the back pond at Kathryn Albertson's in Boise, Idaho.

The water was an emerald green hwich gave a beautiful contrast to the Wood ducks own stunning feather colors.

This would make a beautiful framed photo for your home or office using a black frame a simple matte.
